If you are a scholar of Central African Studies, we would love to have you as a member of our organization. The Central African Studies Association is Coordinate Organization within the African Studies Association in the USA. To join us, please do the following:
- Begin or Renew your subscription to CASA on the ASA website and pay your annual dues ($30 for faculty, $20 for students, $0 for your first year of membership). This is important because your registration keeps the organization in good standing with the ASA and your dues help to support our events, including our bi-annual junior scholar essay prize. You can find detailed instructions (with images) on how to join CASA or pay your dues here. If you have further question, please email our treasurer, Joshua Castillo (jcafhist@bu.edu) or our President, Nikki Eggers (eggersna@utk.edu).
- Make sure to subscribe and contribute to CASA’s list-serv: [centralafricanstudies+noreply@googlegroups.com] To be added to the list, please contact Nikki Eggers [eggersna@utk.edu], Pedro Monaville [pedro.monaville@nyu.edu] or Katrien Pype [katrien.pype@kuleuven.be]. Once you are on the list, you can contribute news, questions, and calls simply by copying centralafricanstudies+noreply@googlegroups.com in the recipient email (to:).
